Rather than beginning with an established romance, the story centers on two acquaintances treating a relationship as practice before pursuing future partners. That premise shifts the focus from courtship toward what the arrangement reveals about their expectations and each other.
What is Childhood Friends?
Yukihisa is an ordinary student whose childhood friend, Shiho, suggests they practice being a couple.
They have known each other for years but are not especially close. After a group date, they discuss relationships, and Shiho proposes the arrangement as a way to build confidence before pursuing future partners. The story follows their practice as boyfriend and girlfriend and asks what they may discover about themselves and each other, including whether Shiho has another reason for making the proposal. This visual novel has two possible endings. It includes Japanese voice acting for Shiho and a feature for replaying voiced lines, along with a history function for reviewing earlier dialogue.
