Our take on ChefU
ChefU trades kitchen upkeep for uninterrupted cooking experiments: dishes appear and do not need to be washed. This keeps the focus on tools, recipes, timed tasks, and playful disruption, but removes cleanup as part of the cooking routine.
What is ChefU?
ChefU is a virtual reality cooking game set in a restaurant kitchen.
It includes more than 60 items to cook and dozens of tools, including hand mixers and blenders. Players can follow recipes, create their own combinations, search for hidden kitchen objects, or make a mess without washing dishes afterward. Timed Mode adds a countdown challenge, Story Mode follows a week in a restaurant, and Free Mode supports open-ended experimentation. Recipes range from grilled cheese to New Orleans-style shrimp, with a microwave available for simpler preparation. Players can photograph completed recipes and share the images on social media. The game also includes contests against people around the world, including attempts to complete a recipe in less than 5 minutes.
