Our take on Chef Chen
Cooking extends beyond the kitchen here: ingredient collection involves hunting and navigating a fantastical world. Monsters, mechanisms, and limited tools become part of preparing dishes, replacing a preparation-only structure with cooperative adventure challenges.
What is Chef Chen?
Chef Chen is a cooperative cooking-and-hunting game for 1–4 players.
A restaurant under intense financial pressure enters perilous culinary competitions to generate revenue. Players gather ingredients, hunt creatures, and complete meal orders within strict time limits. Its fantasy setting includes roaming monsters, scarce kitchen tools, enchanted plant growth, siege launchers, moving floor traps, and seesaws that call for synchronized teamwork. The game can be played alone or with others across stages and areas that become available over time. New chef companions can also be recruited for future levels. The four main characters are a fighter with insulated gloves, a Shiba Inu wielding two swords, an archer who fires using their feet, and a magician cat.
