Our take on Chaos Brigade
Instead of treating the environment as a safe backdrop, the game makes the rescue target destructible. Its shooter structure therefore asks players to manage firepower and restraint at the same time, while permanent character deaths add consequences to failed assaults.
What is Chaos Brigade?
Chaos Brigade is a 2D retro arcade shooter in which a team of six space exterminators assaults drifting spaceships occupied by alien enemies.
Players choose an exterminator and use weapons to clear each vessel, while controlling their attacks to avoid destroying the ship being rescued. The game combines platform-shooter action with destructible environments, making collateral damage part of each mission's challenge. Exterminators have permanent deaths for the current game, so losing a character removes that character from the ongoing run. The objective is to eliminate the aliens and preserve the spaceship. It features low-resolution pixel art and an original synthwave soundtrack, and is built for solo play.
How Chaos Brigade plays

- 04Solo campaign

- 05Pixel art presentation
