Our take on CEO
Its defining structure is a complete production chain: land and deposits provide materials, factories process them, and retail decisions determine how the finished goods compete.
What is CEO?
Run a multinational conglomerate across farming, resource extraction, processing, manufacturing and retail.
Grow crops, raise livestock, operate mines, logging camps and oil wells, then turn limited raw materials into intermediate goods and more than 75 consumer products. Acquire deposits through auctions, build factories, develop assembly lines and research product quality in R&D labs. Advertising can raise product awareness and loyalty, while employee training can reduce production costs. Compete by offering lower prices, higher-quality goods or control of selected markets. Scenarios include leaderboards, while sandbox play allows self-defined rules and goals. Multiplayer supports competition against AI companies or up to five friends. Several regions respond to player actions during the game.
How CEO plays
- 01Resource Auctions
- Limited deposits of materials such as iron, timber and oil are obtained through auctions.
- 02Multi-Stage Production
- Factories convert extracted materials into intermediate goods and then consumer products.
- 03Product Research
- R&D facilities raise manufacturing standards for companies competing on product quality.
- 04Market Competition
- Advertising, pricing and employee training support different approaches to attracting customers and lowering production costs.
- 05Regional Responses
- Multiple regions react to actions taken during play.
- 06Multiplayer Competition
- Games can include AI rivals or as many as five human friends.
