Our take on Cavern Kings
The bounce point arrives when a run’s escalating difficulty meets the game’s unfinished state. Players who expect polished long-term progression may hit occasional crashes or run into the absence of multiplayer before the randomized runs have enough variety to sustain them.
What is Cavern Kings?
Cavern Kings is an endless action platformer built around repeated runs through randomly generated terrain and enemy encounters.
Players choose from a roster of characters with distinct abilities, use weapons with different behaviors, and combine 50 powerups to create varied effects. The game increases in difficulty as a run continues and includes large boss enemies, pixel-art presentation, and frequent explosions. It is currently incomplete and no longer in development. The existing version is mostly playable, but may crash occasionally and has no multiplayer. Planned additions included more characters, cosmetics, room variety, weapons, bosses, powerups, and bug fixes, but these features are not presented as completed.
