Our take on Catch Up
Many platformers allow midair corrections, but this game makes each jump a commitment. The standard movement loop becomes a sequence of decisions made before takeoff, while a failed leap sends the player back down the route instead of merely costing a brief moment.
What is Catch Up?
Catch Up is a challenging 2D platforming game about helping a cat find its way home through three biomes: lush forests, Dark Places, and Ancient Ruins.
Each jump is charged by holding a control and released at the chosen moment. Once airborne, the route cannot be changed, so players must consider the path before jumping. A mistake can cause a long fall and require the climb to be repeated. Progress and falls are saved automatically. The game features pixelated graphics, obstacles throughout its environments, and an original soundtrack. Its platforming tests timing, reflexes, patience, and determination as players guide the feline protagonist toward home.
