Our take on Cat Bait
Players who dislike repeated wave combat may bounce off once the loop of dodging rodents, choosing upgrades, and facing bosses becomes the main structure. Those expecting helpers to be cosmetic companions may also hit a wall when progression depends on selecting and improving their abilities.
What is Cat Bait?
Cat Bait is a casual action game with pixel graphics and wave-based combat.
Control the Cat Bait while dodging mice and other rodents, and summon helper cats with distinct abilities. During each run, upgrade helpers by increasing damage, adding projectiles, or selecting cat-specific improvements. Defeated enemies drop coins that support upgrades for the character and helpers between runs. Skins alter the Cat Bait’s appearance and can add active abilities. Runs include boss encounters, varied locations, and choices about which helper to start with. Short sessions allow play to continue from the wave where the previous session stopped.
