Our take on Cards of Patience
Rather than using cards as a secondary deck-building layer, the game makes destroying enemy cards the central combat action. Its roguelite structure also separates run failure from long-term advancement through permanent upgrades and hero unlocks.
What is Cards of Patience?
Cards of Patience blends solitaire-style card play with role-playing and roguelite systems.
Select a hero and face varied opponents in turn-based encounters, clearing each enemy’s cards to win. Spells can be improved, while equipment and potions add tactical choices in combat. Every attempt uses a procedurally varied layout. Losing ends the current attempt, but victories grant diamond orbs that purchase lasting enhancements and may open additional heroes. Each character follows a distinct talent tree, creating separate advancement routes. The game is built around repeated attempts, card-clearing battles, character growth, and benefits that carry forward after defeat.
