Our take on C-Wars
Rather than treating defeat as an immediate game over, C-Wars turns failure into a rising crisis value. Its run structure also combines a fixed story with randomly generated missions, placing action-horror combat inside a pressure system shaped by setbacks and wandering.
What is C-Wars?
C-Wars combines pixel-art action, strategy, horror, and roguelike elements in a 16-bit setting.
Players choose heroes from different factions and investigate an infectious outbreak that creates mutated monsters. Each run follows a main storyline while adding missions generated at random. Combat involves fighting enemies, collecting equipment and supplies, and managing soldiers to improve survival chances. Battles are deliberately unforgiving, but defeat does not immediately end a run. Instead, failures raise a crisis value, while spending more time wandering brings the story closer to its conclusion. The game presents repeated attempts as part of progression, with players given opportunities to improve after setbacks.
