Our take on Burial
The supernatural premise and horror presentation receive most of the attention, while the practical scope is much smaller: this is a roughly 60-minute investigation built around searching for objects and following a linear plot. The short runtime is the main constraint on the experience.
What is Burial?
Burial follows Vasily Panin, a videographer sent to record a wake in an old Soviet apartment.
The vigil is meant to continue until morning, but no guests arrive and Vasily discovers that the apartment has become inescapable. A closed coffin stands at the center of the room as he investigates the home, its owner, and the events connected to the supernatural threat inside. Progress involves searching for objects and following the plot while uncovering the apartment’s secrets. The game uses frightening sound design, realistic-looking visuals, a soundtrack, and a found-film visual effect to present its horror setting. The listed completion time is about 60 minutes.
