StrategyIs Burger Joint worth it for you?
We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Strategy players who want restaurant management paired with criminal-empire mechanics
- Solo managers who enjoy balancing legal and illegal investments
- Players interested in short-term survival goals involving police, the FDA, and a rival cartel
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a single-focus restaurant simulator may find the criminal-management layer distracting
- Players looking for open-ended progression beyond a six-month survival objective may find the structure limited
- Players wanting a conventional crime strategy game without restaurant expansion may not fit the dual-business format
Our take on Burger Joint
Rather than focusing on one business or one criminal operation, the game puts both systems side by side. Restaurant growth affects FDA suspicion, while criminal success affects cartel pressure, replacing a single-track management structure with two linked measures of survival.
What is Burger Joint?
Burger Joint combines restaurant management with criminal enterprise strategy.
Start with a small space and limited cash, then expand by acquiring more room, adding food items, and improving the restaurant layout. At the same time, hire a gang, sell contraband, and carry out robberies to grow the illegal side of the operation. Restaurant performance builds reputation and keeps FDA suspicion low, while criminal success builds fierceness and keeps the rival cartel away. Police patrols, FDA action, and cartel attacks threaten the business. The objective is to keep the operation intact for six months and reach retirement without being raided.
How Burger Joint plays
- 01Dual operations
- Manage a legal burger business alongside an illegal enterprise, with separate reputation and fierceness measures.
- 02Restaurant expansion
- Acquire additional space, add new food items, and upgrade the layout.
- 03Criminal activities
- Hire a gang, sell contraband, and conduct robberies to develop the criminal side.
- 04Six-month objective
- Keep the operation from being raided until the six-month retirement goal is reached.
