Our take on bugTDX
Rather than using a fixed tower-defense progression, the game adds roguelike structure through repeated attempts, random modifiers, and difficulty levels that can invalidate earlier strategies. Secret towers and changing enemy conditions shift the focus from one solved build to ongoing experimentation.
What is bugTDX?
bugTDX is a tower defense roguelike focused on buying, selling, merging, and leveling towers between increasingly difficult enemy waves.
More than 40 towers and 15 enemy types create varied defensive combinations involving tower synergies and status effects. Ground and flying enemies require different responses, such as temporarily grounding airborne targets or using towers suited to aerial threats. Beating the base game unlocks up to 5 higher difficulty levels with random modifiers, harder enemies, and secret towers. Strategies that work at lower difficulty may become less useful later, encouraging experimentation across attempts. Pixel art and a soundtrack created by @creeper4207 provide the presentation.
