StrategyIs Buggos worth it for you?
We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- RTS players who want to command an evolving bug swarm rather than control conventional human armies
- Strategy players who prefer automated battles and unit customization over direct unit-by-unit combat
- Players who want to make and share maps alongside a campaign and survival mode
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking direct, hands-on control of every unit may find the auto-battler format limiting.
- Players looking for a short, self-contained run may find the 54-mission campaign a lengthy structure.
- Players seeking a game without repeated enemy waves may not enjoy survival mode.
Our take on Buggos
Rather than centering an RTS on a conventional human army, Buggos puts the player in charge of a hive fighting humanity. Its auto-battler format and swarm evolution shift attention toward customizing the bug forces and sending them into battle.
What is Buggos?
Buggos is a real-time strategy auto battler in which players guide a hive of bugs against human forces.
Customize the swarm through more than 120 evolutions, including upgrades for Swarmers, Warriors, and Builder Bugs. Humans develop new technology and increase their resistance as the campaign progresses. The campaign spans 54 missions across 9 environments. Survival mode sends repeated waves of human forces against the swarm. An in-game level editor lets players create and share maps. The game follows the hive as it breaks away from its parent hive and seeks to conquer a planet occupied by humans.
