What is Buccaneers!?
Buccaneers!
is a pirate RPG set in the Caribbean. Players choose one of four factions: British, French, Spanish, or the Buccaneers’ League, each with distinct abilities, starting locations, and colony counts that change with each new game. As a captain, players command a sailing warship, fight naval battles, sink or capture enemy vessels, assault coastal forts, and claim territory. Ships can be upgraded, while fleets can be expanded. Boarding actions, fort assaults, and harbour infiltration support melee and ranged combat with up to five equipped weapons, including swords, pistols, and muskets. The game supports standard play and VR, with shared saves between modes. VR adds hand-controlled ship steering and weapon use.
