Our take on Brothers in Arms: Earned in Blood™
The focus on squad tactics, historical combat, and mission structure leaves less room for open-ended exploration or genre variety. Its increasing-difficulty skirmishes and military setting also narrow the experience compared with broader action games.
What is Brothers in Arms: Earned in Blood™?
A WWII military shooter following Sergeant Joe Hartsock and his squad beyond Carentan in Normandy.
The single-player campaign adds a new narrative, while cooperative multiplayer lets two players work together with their squads. Additional multiplayer missions support online tactical battles, and Skirmish mode presents a series of custom combat missions with rising difficulty. Combat includes close-quarter urban settings, new weapons such as the M3 grease gun, and vehicles including the M10 Wolverine tank destroyer. The game recreates Airborne Infantry battles from D-Day using historical photographs, maps, reports, and eyewitness accounts. A new artificial intelligence system is also included.
