Our take on Break_In
The description highlights varied bases and defenses, but the core loop remains raids followed by cash-funded upgrades. The early-access warning is a substantial qualification: bugs and wipes may affect that progression.
What is Break_In?
Break_In is an early-access first-person shooter with base building.
Players raid other people’s safe houses to steal cash, then use their earnings to improve their own defenses, buy weapons, or move to a different type of safe house. Defenses can include guards, cameras, lasers, and traps, while players can also hire security and upgrade their abilities and skills. When another player attempts a raid and is stopped, the safe-house owner receives a percentage of that player’s cash. The central loop is to build up a base, attack other bases, and reinvest the money. The store page warns that the game is in early access and may have bugs, wipes, and other issues.
