Is Born Race worth it for you?
We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Players who enjoy retro action-adventures with puzzles and exploration
- Players who want separate character stories rather than one route
- Players comfortable with sexual themes presented without nudity or obscene acts
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a single-character campaign may find the four-route structure fragmented
- Players who want combat without puzzle solving may hit a wall when progression requires solving level puzzles
- Players looking for a serious story may reject the fourth-wall humor and sexual premise
- Players seeking realistic biological or medical settings may not fit the fictional body setting and artistic interpretation
Our take on Born Race
Puzzle-focused players may bounce when progression stops at a stage puzzle, while combat-focused players may hit another wall at bosses that require analyzing their weaknesses rather than simply attacking. The four-character structure also introduces new mechanics as each route opens.
What is Born Race?
Born Race is a retro-style action-adventure game about four sperm characters competing to reach the ovum.
Each character follows a separate route with distinct stages, puzzles, personality, and story. Mike, Sammy, Tommy, and Beth begin with different roles and later introduce new mechanics alongside their previously learned ones. Obstacles include viruses, contraceptive methods, spermicide-throwing enemies, and four unusual bosses whose weaknesses must be studied. The game uses humor and fourth-wall jokes, including a stage called Condom. Characters have unlimited lives, while opening doors saves progress and reached levels remain available for revisiting. The vendor also states that the game contains no nudity or obscene acts.

Born Race compared to similar games
