We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Casual strategy players who want short arena battles built around explosives
- Players who enjoy cute character designs paired with direct combat
- Solo players seeking character unlocks earned through wins and kills
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking varied weapon systems beyond dynamite
- Players looking for campaigns, narrative progression, or non-arena structure
- Players who dislike tactical movement around walls, boxes, and glaciers
- Players seeking a large starting roster, since only three of the 12 prepared characters are ready to play
Our take on Bomb Royale
Rather than giving arena combat a broad weapon set, Bomb Royale centers every attack on dynamite. Its cute bears also contrast with the elimination-focused structure, while obstacles and timed movement replace more conventional direct fighting.
What is Bomb Royale?
Bomb Royale is an arena game featuring bears with different styles, dynamite combat, special abilities, and environmental hazards.
Players fight across arenas containing fixed walls, boxes, and glaciers, using movement and positioning to avoid traps and pursue opponents. Dynamite is the sole weapon, while four power-up types can increase bomb capacity, blast range, movement speed, or available lives. The game begins with 12 characters planned, with Mocha, Darius, and Gus available to play. Victories and kills award gold, which can be used to open additional characters without microtransactions. New bears and arenas are listed as future plans.
How Bomb Royale plays
- 01Dynamite Combat
- Matches use dynamite as the only weapon for attacking opponents.
- 02Arena Obstacles
- Fixed walls, boxes, and glaciers shape movement and can create traps.
- 03Four Power-Ups
- Breakable boxes can grant extra dynamite capacity, greater blast range, faster movement, or another life.
- 04Gold Character Unlocks
- Wins and kill scores award gold for opening additional bears.
