Our take on Bolsheviktion 3D
Rather than using a contemporary military or science-fiction setting, this FPS places its escape-and-shooting structure in an alternate-history Russia. Its early 3D shooter framework is paired with a historical rescue premise involving the Tsar’s family, secret pushwalls, and royal treasure.
What is Bolsheviktion 3D?
Set in Russia in 1918, this alternate-history first-person shooter follows a diplomat imprisoned on suspicion of espionage.
After a nightmare about the Tsar’s family, the protagonist escapes, searches for Nicholas II, and travels toward Ipatiev House. Combat uses firearms against four enemy types and two bosses across nine locations. Weapons, treasure, royal treasure, and concealed pushwalls containing combat items support exploration. The game uses software rendering and a raycasting approach inspired by early 3D shooters. Four difficulty settings range from Give Me a Go to BOLSHEVIKTOR, described as not remotely fair. Custom visual, musical, and sound assets accompany Portuguese, Russian, and Spanish translations.
