Our take on Bloody Heaven
The defining detail is the tension between immediate spending and rune saving: keeping resources early can fund stronger later purchases, but makes the opening battles more demanding.
What is Bloody Heaven?
Bloody Heaven follows Irene, who seeks revenge after being banished from Heaven.
Players fight successive demon waves while choosing among melee, ranged, and elemental weapons. Defeated enemies yield shards, which can be spent between waves on stat improvements, special effects, magic items, and equipment. The weapon choice shapes combat, with rare weapons adding distinctive functions or skills. Runes support an interest-based saving system: storing them early can provide more to spend later, but leaves fewer resources for the opening battles. Each weapon also has a BackFire timing mechanic that releases extra power when activated in sync with the weapon. Progress leads through successive battle stages toward a final boss encounter.
How Bloody Heaven plays
- 01Three weapon categories
- Melee arms target close combat, ranged weapons support precision attacks, and elemental arms inflict area damage.
- 02Between-wave upgrades
- Shards can buy stat improvements or effects that alter the chosen combat approach.
- 03Rune interest system
- Keeping runes during earlier stages can increase the amount available for later purchases.
- 04BackFire timing mechanic
- A correctly timed activation releases a weapon's additional force during combat.
- 05Final boss battle
- Progression through the battle grounds culminates in a fight against a final boss.
