Our take on Bloodwych
Bloodwych departs from a combat-first fantasy structure by making arguments, bargaining, and deception usable parts of progression. It also gives allies a combat role that can be influenced through praise or correction, placing social interaction and party direction alongside exploration and fighting.
What is Bloodwych?
Bloodwych is a dark fantasy role-playing adventure set in Trazere, where Zendick and his undead army threaten the inhabitants of Treihadwyl.
Players explore labyrinthine corridors through an icon-based point-and-click interface and can save the game. An advanced interaction system allows arguments, bargaining, and deception when dealing with characters and creatures. Combat includes knives, wands, rings, staves, missiles, fire, bows and arrows, and sophisticated spell casting. Players can also commend or correct allies to influence their initiative and fighting ability. The adventure ultimately leads to a confrontation with the Lord of Entropy, who seeks to dissolve the universe into chaotic elements.
