Rather than concentrating solely on shooting, the game includes a preparation phase between zombie waves. Buying equipment, repairing defenses, and managing resources are part of the survival loop alongside combat.
What is Blood Waves?
Blood Waves is a shooter centered on surviving successive zombie attacks.
Kill enemies to earn cash, then use the break between waves to buy weapons, place traps and barricades, repair surviving traps, restock ammunition, and restore health. Zombie types have different traits: some attack from a distance, while others avoid certain traps. Character skills and upgrades let players improve the character and weapons, and some traps resist attacks from particular zombie types. Managing earned resources is part of choosing a survival strategy, since spending affects how long a run lasts. The game records a Survival index based on survival time, enemies defeated, play quality, skills, and use of game functions; the score determines leaderboard positions.
