Our take on Blast Beat
Players may bounce off the combat when incoming attacks and Guard Notes require fast physical reactions while maintaining a combo. The wall arrives especially in Normal mode, where Hard Notes demand rapid punches and crossed-arm barriers must be handled without losing score.
What is Blast Beat?
Blast Beat is a VR rhythm action game built around punching notes and fighting opponents to music.
Standard notes can be struck with punches such as jabs, hooks, or uppercuts, while arrow notes require matching the indicated direction. Players avoid obstacles and incoming attacks because hits break combos and reduce scores. Counterattacks use one of three movements: punching, squatting, or spinning an arm. The game includes 38 songs across genres including hard rock, metal, Celtic music, and EDM, with stages that change through three environmental phases.
Seven bosses have distinct attack styles and two color variations each. Normal mode includes Hard Notes and Guard Notes, while Exercise mode omits them. A calorie tracker, four gauntlet variations, global leaderboards, and a third-person streaming view are also included.
