Our take on Bladequest
Bladequest shifts the usual RPG emphasis away from a long campaign and toward endless score competition. Its story mode is short, while repeated dungeon runs, equipment collection, and leaderboard pursuit form the main structure.
What is Bladequest?
Bladequest is a first-person action RPG with an endless dungeon mode and a short story mode.
In endless mode, players explore an infinite dungeon, fight undead enemies, collect weapons and loot, and compete with other players for high scores. Combat includes one-handed weapons, shields, two-handed weapons, and bows; listed weapons include swords, maces, axes, and bows. Boss rooms contain better equipment for later runs. Story mode follows Veronica as she searches for a cure for her brother in a castle ruin inhabited by undead and controlled by the Shadowlord. The game also includes handcrafted dungeon rooms, different color schemes, a polygon-styled visual presentation, and an atmospheric soundscape.
