Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking free movement, exploration, or combat from more than two directions may find the fixed attack-based movement restrictive

- Players who prefer mouse-led controls may not enjoy the emphasis on rapid keyboard input
Our take on Berserk or Die
The store page presents the keyboard-banging combat as the central novelty, but the broader structure is a compact survival loop: defeat approaching enemies, spend gold after each day, and repeat with stronger foes. That focus may undersell how limited movement and progression are compared with larger action games.
What is Berserk or Die?
Survive as the last soldier on a battlefield while enemies approach from both sides.
Movement is tied to attacking left or right, so combat centers on rapidly pressing keyboard buttons to widen attacks and build stronger strikes. A special meter can trigger a larger attack. After each survived day, a Peddler offers healing, upgrades, weapons, and relics in exchange for gold. Experience points can increase the fighter's power, while loot unlocks additional equipment in the Armory. Playable fighters span different historical periods, with weapons including swords, katanas, greataxes, and staffs. The game supports gamepads alongside its keyboard-focused control scheme.
How Berserk or Die plays
- 01Keyboard Combat
- Pressing more keys expands the attack area, while continued input can produce a broad high-damage strike.
- 02Two-Sided Enemies
- Opponents enter from the left and right, and attacks also determine the fighter's direction of movement.
- 03Nightly Peddler
- A merchant appears after each survived day with healing, upgrades, weapons, and relics available for gold.
- 04Weapon Armory
- Loot can open access to equipment such as swords, katanas, greataxes, and staffs.
- 05Special Attacks
- Filling a dedicated meter enables a larger attack against enemies.
