Our take on BARK
The defining structure is surviving three days and three nights in the house, where barking and movement can draw threats before the escape attempt on the final night.
What is BARK?
BARK is a psychological survival-horror game played from the perspective of a small Jack Russell Terrier in an abusive household.
The dog must manage instinctive needs while barking, sensing, chasing, running, hiding, marking territory, and collecting treats. Barking and movement create noise that can draw the owner or other threats. Sensing reveals auras of guidance and danger, requires effort, and prevents barking while active. The house must be endured for three days and three nights before an escape into the neighborhood on the final night.
Activities such as barking at cats, chasing animals, marking territory, and collecting treats award points that improve abilities at chapter ends. The story has three endings, with one potentially requiring revisiting selected chapters. The main campaign lasts 2–3 hours; all endings take 3–4 hours.
