Our take on Bake 'n Switch
The game’s party format supports solo play as well as groups of up to four, but the same creature-catching and baking loop anchors both. That focus leaves less room for a broader range of gameplay systems than a game built around varied activities.
What is Bake 'n Switch?
Bake 'n Switch is a party game for 1–4 players, with a solo adventure, couch co-op, and PvP modes.
Bakers catch, throw, and bake living bread creatures across 100 levels in 2 worlds. Six playable characters have distinct gameplay abilities, and Bun creatures each behave differently: some grow by eating other Doughs, while others can break barriers or defeat Mould with a fist thump. Levels include boss encounters and PvP or Team v Team play.
Reaching 3 stars on a level unlocks costumes, Bun avatars, and Stormy variants with added challenge. In solo mode, a basket is used to herd Dough. The story follows Apprentice Bakers learning their abilities and facing the Guardians of each World as they uncover the Mould infection.
