Rather than making every SRPG battle mandatory, Azure Orphanage includes a mode for bypassing combat while preserving progression and summarizing the skipped events. Its time-loop premise also replaces a straightforward chronological structure with repeated attempts to confront the story's mysteries.
What is Azure Orphanage?
Azure Orphanage is a strategy RPG set more than 20 years after the Great War between the Solaha Kingdom and the Empire.
Nina, an orphan investigating the Empire's heritage, encounters a demon in an unexplored cave while incidents disrupt life at the Azure orphanage. The story follows the orphaned survivors, who face poverty and discrimination, through a time loop involving hope, despair, and defiance of fate. Mystery elements and revelations drive the narrative. Battles use custom pixel characters, weapon-specific motions, combined attacks, cut-ins, and monster animations. A Cleared Space option allows players to bypass SRPG battles; skipped sections still grant level-ups and provide a summary.
