Our take on TAIMA MIKO
The open-island premise gives exploration the clearest emphasis, but the game also spans combat, farming, livestock, equipment crafting, and factory construction. Its scope is therefore broader than a straightforward exorcist adventure.
What is TAIMA MIKO?
TAIMA MIKO is an open-island RPG set on an island near modern Japan after an earthquake releases folklore monsters.
Players control Miko, a legendary exorcist who fights enemies in side-view battles with moving characters, using weapons including a chainsaw and flamethrower. The island can be explored freely, with portable toilets providing fast travel. Outside combat, activities include fishing, growing vegetables, domesticating wild boars and chickens, and building a factory. Skill points unlock abilities, while weapons and armor can be crafted and upgraded, and accessories can be fused. The story follows Miko’s encounters and investigates why she was sealed and why monsters have returned. Difficulty settings can be adjusted.
