Our take on Assault Android Cactus+
The draining battery replaces traditional lives, so survival is tied to maintaining charge while fighting. This design keeps the arcade pressure high but leaves less room for cautious play or extended recovery between encounters.
What is Assault Android Cactus+?
Assault Android Cactus+ is an arcade twin-stick shooter set aboard a damaged space freighter attacked by its robot workers.
Players choose from nine androids, each with a different play style, and fight through a 25-stage campaign covering five ship areas. A battery meter replaces lives, requiring continued movement and combat while the charge drains. The game combines arena shooting with bullet-hell patterns, transforming stages, giant bosses, and a story about the Genki Star. Campaign+ remixes the stages, while Infinity Drive focuses on endurance and Daily Drive offers a community challenge. Keyboard and joypad controls support one to four players in local co-op. Extra unlocks include gameplay modifiers, codex material, and artwork.

Abyssus also focuses on multiplayer shooting, but it frames its action as a roguelite adventure through hand-crafted levels with weapon refitting and tactical play. Assault Android Cactus+ instead offers a 25-stage arcade campaign, selectable androids, transforming stages, and local co-op for one to four players.
