What is Ash & Rust?
Ash & Rust is a top-down dark-fantasy action RPG centered on character builds.
Abilities can be assembled from four base types with selected payloads, elements, and augment additions. An inventory grid lets players arrange augment shapes to activate abilities, traits, and gear effects. Hundreds of augment and equipment choices support different playstyles. Combat uses attack animations, cooldowns, movement timing, projectile blocking, dodging, and counterattacks. Enemies and bosses respond to player actions through behavior-tree AI. The game includes branching quests with dialogue choices, character appearance customization, multiple end-game modes, leaderboards, achievements, and loot such as weapons, gear, trinkets, and augments. Exploration takes place across mysterious locations in a dark-fantasy setting.
