Our take on Arcaxer
The bounce point arrives when turn-based encounters require physical movement in first person. Players expecting conventional menu-driven RPG combat may hit a wall when attacks and abilities must be used physically while moving around enemy attacks.
What is Arcaxer?
Arcaxer is a virtual-reality role-playing game where battles unfold in turns against the Toxin, a hostile force.
During fights, players use attacks and abilities with physical movements while viewing encounters from a first-person perspective. The overworld uses a third-person, overhead viewpoint. The Stack is a tower filled with endlessly generated dungeons whose difficulty rises farther in. A campaign of more than 20 hours includes five character classes, gear, abilities, colorful artificial-intelligence characters, and a hunt for the Task Master. Minigames provide practice with the mechanics and grant extra experience.
