ActionIs Antonball Deluxe worth it for you?
We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Arcade players who want brick-breaking mixed with platforming rather than a pure brick-breaker
- Groups who want local or online matches for up to four players
- Players who enjoy short-stage arcade games and want multiple modes in one purchase
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players looking for a long-form campaign may find the stage-based arcade structure too focused on individual levels.
- Players seeking a single, consistent mode may find the three distinct game formats less focused.
- Players who want local multiplayer without a gamepad will need another way to play together.
Our take on Antonball Deluxe
The arcade format centers on short stages and competitive rounds, so it gives up the broader progression and sustained campaign structure found in longer games. Its three modes offer variety within that compact format rather than a single extended adventure.
What is Antonball Deluxe?
Antonball Deluxe combines brick-breaking with platforming across three games.
In Antonball, Anton smashes through 30 stages of walls on his way from the sewers to the city. Punchball follows Annie in a tournament where she uses a ball to hit opponents and knock them off the stage. VS. Antonball turns brick-breaking into team competition: players try to destroy the opposing team's wall, in 1v1, 2v2, or 2v1 matches. The game includes 69 levels, 21 unlockable characters, online and local multiplayer for up to four players, and online leaderboards for Antonball and Punchball. Local multiplayer requires a gamepad.
