Our take on Anomalum
Its defining structure is a strict advance-or-retreat loop: inspect the space, read the clock, and withdraw immediately when an anomaly appears.
What is Anomalum?
Anomalum is a psychological horror adventure built around observing liminal environments and identifying anomalies.
Players examine their surroundings, monitor clocks to track progress, and follow two rules: retreat when an anomaly appears and advance when none is present. Missing an anomaly can prevent escape, while the clock indicates whether progress is being made. The game presents environmental puzzles that require careful analysis and attention to visual details. Its exploration takes place across new locations inspired by The Exit 8, with enveloping sounds and detailed graphics supporting the horror atmosphere. A complete session is intended to last around 20–30 minutes.
