Our take on Annwn: the Otherworld
The defining mechanic is a disembodied soul moving through the world by creating visible-ground totems, then raising and possessing them to navigate the islands.
What is Annwn: the Otherworld?
Annwn: the Otherworld is an abstract stealth strategy game set across procedurally generated islands in a surreal Celtic otherworld.
Players control a disembodied soul that can absorb energy from trees and rocks, then use it to create totems on visible ground. The soul moves between totems, raises them by adding energy, and reaches higher areas of the landscape. Watchmen rotate across the islands and redistribute energy, adding pressure to movement and resource use. The objective is to consume available life, absorb the Watcher, and continue to the next island. Absorbing Watchers grants new abilities during progression. The game presents fast-paced play, recurring procedural variation, and unexplained elements within its mist-covered setting.
How Annwn: the Otherworld plays
- 01Totem Possession

- 02Energy Manipulation

- 03Rotating Watchmen
