Our take on Amoeba Battle: Microscopic RTS Action
The no-base design makes feeding and replication central to army growth, but leaves out the construction and expansion systems found in base-building RTS games. Tactical decisions instead revolve around amoeba species, food sources, terrain, and probes.
What is Amoeba Battle: Microscopic RTS Action?
Amoeba Battle is a real-time strategy game in which amoebas explore microscopic environments, gather food, and fight an infection.
Herbivores eat algae, carnivores hunt, and omnivores eat a wider range of food. Well-fed amoebas deal more damage and can split into two, growing the army without base construction. Mutations let players change weaker amoebas into stronger species. The single-player story has four difficulty levels.
Outbreak is a roguelike campaign with randomized environments and missions, playable solo or in co-op with up to two friends. Multiplayer includes an 18-player Battle Royale mode and AI skirmishes, solo or with up to two friends. The game also offers four landscapes, nine amoeba species, tactical terrain, deployable probes, keyboard and mouse controls, and controller support.
