The game departs from the usual single-investigator mystery structure by dividing the case between a principled detective and a petty thief. Their contrasting perspectives replace one standard viewpoint with two parallel roles in the investigation.
What is Alter Ego?
Alter Ego centers on a murder case in a terrified village where an eccentric nobleman has died and his corpse has vanished.
Detective Briscol, guided by reason and principle, works with Timothy Moor, an impoverished immigrant turned minor thief. They investigate brutal killings tied to tales of a paranormal creature and Sir William’s history of cruelty and unexplained crimes. The story switches between both investigators, presenting contrasting viewpoints as their searches uncover a sinister secret. The case spans over 80 areas and includes encounters with more than 25 characters.
