This mystery adventure places a case inside an authentic mystery novel.
Gameplay is split into Reasoning and Solution sections. In the first section, players select significant words from the novel and use them to form hypotheses. Correct deductions provide logic keys. The Solution section uses those keys to build a further chain of reasoning. Once the available evidence identifies the sole person capable of committing the crime, players name the culprit and complete the episode. The story introduces Alice Hoshikawa, who brings the Mystery Research Club into the D-Book, alongside club members Suzuka Houreiin and Toji Amami.
