Our take on Alexio
Alexio keeps the familiar platforming journey but adds hats that change Alex’s abilities and a Birdie Mode for a different challenge level. These additions modify the expected run-and-jump structure without replacing its straightforward progression through distinct locations.
What is Alexio?
Alexio is a retro platformer about Alex, a young duckling who begins a journey after learning about the sacred Monobrow on his sixth birthday.
The route passes through flower meadows, lakes, forests, mountains, caverns, and ancient ruins before reaching the shrine. The game contains 12 levels arranged across six locations, with each area offering its own features. Alex can find different types of headgear that grant special abilities. Hidden secrets and collectible items add optional discoveries throughout the journey. Players who find the main challenge too difficult can use Birdie Mode. The game also presents itself as suitable for shared party play with a gamepad and friends.
