Our take on Albert and Otto
Instead of relying on one character's movement and abilities, the game builds puzzles around switching between Albert and Otto. Its story also leaves players to connect drawings and clues, while the pacing shifts from deliberate puzzle-solving to demanding gauntlet sections.
What is Albert and Otto?
Set in 1939 Germany, this puzzle-platform adventure follows Albert as he searches for a mysterious girl with bunny ears.
Otto, her magical rabbit, can squeeze through narrow gaps and hold down switches; Albert can jump and shoot. The pair gain abilities as the story progresses, including double jumping, levitation and control of electrical currents. Puzzles use objects and creatures in different ways: sheep can become platforms, provide light or distract wolves. Drawings and scattered clues reveal parts of the story across three episodes, rather than spelling it out directly. Play alternates between slower puzzle sections and fast, punishing gauntlets, with large mechanical enemies to outsmart. The vendor gives an estimated playtime of 2. 5–3 hours.
