What is Agence?
Agence is an interactive film about artificial creatures called Agents and the effects of player intervention on their existence.
Players can place magical flowers that influence behavior, move Agents to separate them or bring about other changes, rescue them from falling, or send them into the abyss. The universe can be rotated to observe events from different viewpoints. Agents may preserve harmony or become aggressive toward one another, while their vocalizations and facial reactions express fear, curiosity, boredom, and excitement. The experience also includes additional Agents trained by human engineers through reinforcement learning, using goals and rewards to guide their independent actions. The resulting narrative can vary as the Agents respond to the player’s actions.
