Our take on MIRAGE
MIRAGE emphasizes a reactive visual experience and frequent pack additions, but its role is narrower than a conventional game. The listing presents music-driven environments rather than objectives, progression, or player-controlled activities, so its appeal depends on wanting an audiovisual backdrop.
What is MIRAGE?
MIRAGE turns audio from a separate player into animated scenery.
It analyzes the music and changes the surrounding visual world in response. Playback may continue in any music application while MIRAGE processes the sound. The software works with Oculus’s Rift and HTC’s Vive, and includes an option for non-VR use. Its in-app menu provides access to newly released visual packs, which become available on a frequent basis.
How MIRAGE plays
- 01External Music Playback
- Audio from another music player drives the visual response while MIRAGE runs.
- 02VR And Non-VR Modes
- The visualizer supports Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, and use without virtual reality.
- 03Downloadable Visual Packs
- Additional packs can be obtained through the menu as they are added.
