Our take on AFFRAID
The store presentation gives notable attention to Nina’s appearance and customization, while the playable structure centers on facility corridors, hidden objects, shooting, and zombie evasion. The challenge mode adds a separate evacuation objective, but the core description remains focused on a compact horror setup.
What is AFFRAID?
AFFRAID is a third-person horror game following Nina, a kidnapped model held by MEDIO, a pharmaceutical firm testing Venus cream, a treatment intended to restore youth in customers.
Players move through the company’s facility, inspect its floors for concealed items, and negotiate barriers or entrances that demand crouching. Firearms include a pistol and an assault rifle, while evasive movement draws inspiration from Resident Evil 3. Nina has an inventory and customizable body. In a standalone challenge, players must escape the building alive while zombies pursue them. The narrative features the NovoVenus project, scientist Alice RAUP, Mayor James Hugh, and an emergency evacuation after troubling symptoms appear among the test subjects.
How AFFRAID plays
