Is Aegis Legends worth it for you?
We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Tower-defense players who want direct shooting alongside tower placement
- Co-op groups seeking survival runs for up to four players
- Leaderboard competitors who prefer score-chasing and varied mini-games
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players who prefer short, clearly separated stages may find the endless survival format less suited to them.
- Players looking for a fixed strategy may not enjoy repeatedly adjusting tower stats, evolutions, and character skills as difficulty rises.
- Players seeking a story-led campaign may find the described focus on survival scores and competitive mini-games a mismatch.
Our take on Aegis Legends
Rather than separating tower defense into discrete enemy waves, the game uses a continuous survival run that grows harder until the defense fails. Direct shooting also sits alongside tower building, shifting the usual focus from placement alone.
What is Aegis Legends?
Aegis Legends combines tower defense with top-down shooting.
Play solo or with up to three other players in an endless survival mode that grows harder over time, or compete in mini-games with leaderboards. Build and upgrade towers by changing stats such as range, damage, firing rate, and hit chance; towers can also be evolved into different types. Use skill points to customize character attributes, and unlock abilities, magical powers, and characters through experience. During runs, fight land and air enemies, including bosses with distinct abilities. Spend coins on towers or weapons, and use weapons, grenades, mines, and air strikes to fight directly. Forest, desert, and crypt environments include a visual day-and-night cycle, weather, and interactive elements.
