Our take on Aegis Descent
The defining setup is a descent into caverns in an experimental hover tank, combining vehicle combat with roguelite runs.
What is Aegis Descent?
Near the close of World War II, an alien force seizes a hidden research site.
Pilots enter the underground caverns aboard the Aegis, an experimental hover tank, to confront the invaders. The game mixes vehicle-based fighting with roguelite progression. During each descent, players recover technology, restore supplies, increase their ammunition, gather perks, and decide which cavern paths to follow. Rewards from completed attempts open additional pilot roles, weapons, and perks. Before each expedition, players configure the pilot role and weapon selection, then combine collected perks. The objective is to travel deeper into the facility and meet the alien menace below.
How Aegis Descent plays
- 01Cavern Exploration
- Players choose routes through the caverns while scavenging technology for resources, ammunition, and perks.
- 02Unlockable Options
- Awards earned during runs unlock pilot classes, weapons, and perks.
- 03Class and Weapon Choices
- Each expedition lets players select a pilot class and weapon setup, then pair perks.
