Rather than placing the player outside the threat, the game makes infection the central role. Its setting replaces familiar battlefields with a body’s rooms and organs, while the immune system functions as an active opposing force.
What is A Way To Die?
Play as a disease inside a human body, where survival depends on moving through rooms, fighting cells, contaminating organs, and changing through mutations.
Each body is randomly generated, creating a different layout to explore. The game includes more than five diseases to unlock, with each one offering distinct objectives. More than five bosses defend the body against infection, while over 50 unique items alter individual runs. The immune system appears through enemies and events: attacks can trigger stronger opposition or create obstacles. The structure combines exploration, combat, mutation, disease-specific goals, bosses, items, and changing body layouts within each game.
