Our take on A Night Duty
Its defining structure is an endless night duty in which each mysterious anomaly may reveal another piece of a soldier’s tragedy.
What is A Night Duty?
A Night Duty places the player in the role of a South Korean army officer beginning a night shift.
The central task is to examine unusual occurrences and gather clues across an apparently unending night. Some discoveries provide information about events that occurred in the setting. Connecting those details reveals the circumstances surrounding a soldier’s tragedy. The game addresses harassment and systemic problems associated with the South Korean military in the past. A Codex added in an update provides context about in-game events for players unfamiliar with the South Korean military. The game is inspired by The Exit 8, False Mall, and Night Watch: Closer.
