Our take on A Contusion
The defining constraint is that every attack, from either side, can produce death, serious injury, or no visible harm, making combat outcomes unusually variable.
What is A Contusion?
A Contusion is a top-down roguelite shooter set in labyrinths connected to the hero’s memories.
Combat combines 16 firearms and melee weapons with six bullet types, four shotgun shell types, and seven melee modifications. Players can use 15 kinds of body armor, plus helmets, shields, grenades, first aid kits, more than 70 perks, and 20 artifacts. Five enemy factions include criminals, mutants, undead, self-improving robots, and black goo. Encounters take place across five procedurally generated environments: catacombs, bunkers, warehouses, sewers, and outdoor areas. Attacks from either side can cause death, serious injury, or no visible harm.

A Contusion compared to similar games
Abyssus is also a roguelite shooter, but it centers on multiplayer action through hand-crafted levels and weapon refitting with ancient technologies. A Contusion instead uses procedurally generated environments, five enemy factions, and an equipment system spanning weapons, armor, perks, and artifacts.
