Our take on 30XX
The store presentation gives prominence to action, roguelike replayability, co-op, and creation tools, while the central activity remains platforming and combat. The editor is also a substantial part of the feature set, but players focused solely on playing the campaign may not use it.
What is 30XX?
30XX is a roguelike action platformer set 1,000 years beyond 20XX.
Players traverse shifting environments, using jumps, ranged attacks, melee strikes, and character-specific abilities while battling Guardians. Ace specializes in rapid combos and Techniques, whereas Nina combines abilities through the Power Fusion system. Each run rearranges its stages and changes the available items and Powers. Roguelike progression allows adjustments to game systems and difficulty during play, including after completing a run. Local and online multiplayer support co-op play. A level editor, built with the developers’ own tools, can produce standalone sections or full custom campaigns. Its story centers on a world altered by the Synthetic Mind and a fight to protect its remnants.

30XX compared to similar games
30XX combines action-platforming with changing content, local and online co-op, and a level editor for custom campaigns. Sundered: Eldritch Edition is described as a chaotic metroidvania and does not share the same stated emphasis on co-op or campaign creation.
